Unhappy What's wrong with this Phal. leaf?

I have this one leaf on this Phal. that is looking pretty bad. Can't find any bugs and it has been treated with Bayer Advanced Insect spray. Do I need to remove the leaf? Otherwise the plant seems very healthy. Lisa

i have something very similiar on a few of mine. The leaves just bleach and as you say, there is no sign of pests, surely a virus or fungi wouldnt want to dry out a leaf, more the opposite. i can only think it is because of too much direct sunlight and heat, scorching the leave very fast.

This is not sunburn, but I don' know for sure what it is.
Are the spots growing? If yes, than it's a fungus ...If it's not growing than might be a damage produced earlier by an insect.

It looks like mine did when I burned it on the window blind - Heat!
Started out looking just like yours, then the burned area dried up and peeled away. Now have a strange looking phal leaf!

Well, the sunburn (made by radiation) causes brown patches - Cynthia had a detailed description of symptoms, but I'm not able to find it.Sorry.

But, what about growing indoor??? If the Blc....'Shi-Shu' bloomed, I might expect the others blooming, too...
