what's wrong with my dendrobium??

Hello everybody.
I am a newbie in this forum and also a newbie in orchid care.
I found a new growth on my dendrobium turning yellow like it will rot.
The other bulb is fine and also the root. There are many new growth on root.
Can anybody help? Is this because of overwater?

What conditions is it growing in? It could be due to a combination of too much water and temperatures that are too cool, which invites rot of various kinds, but without knowing how you are growing it, that's just a guess.

How does the root system on your Den look? Overwatering would lead to root loss. Your temperatures are clearly ideal, so all I can figure is overwatering. If the roots are still in good shape, then I'm stumped. Hopefully somebody with more Den experience will chime in.

Yep.. The root is in a good shape with many new growth..
Maybe it is because of fungus..
For my condition, is watering once every morning would overwater them?

I wouldn't think would be too much, with your temperatures and planted in clay. When it gets hot in the summer here, I water daily and don't have problems. Sorry I can't offer much help

is it possible there isnt enough air movement in the hot conditions up by that ceiling and it begins to "cook"? I have seen a similar thing happen with plants on my aunts' porch and that is what we decided it might be.

It's seems strange that it should happen to a new shoot like that, although the new shoot will be softer and more susceptible to damage. I had a similar thing happen to a new shoot on one of my Dends and I put it down to heat... was too close to the greenhouse roof and I think it got cooked.

Can you aim a small fan upward at the plants? You can shut it off and take it in at night, much easier than raising and lowering all the plants.
