| Scale
I seem to have two differnt types of scale in my orchid collection. One is hard shell and other soft shell. I have been fighting it topically for awhile now but am loosing. I pick them off, spray with an organic sope solution, use swabs dipped alcohol etc. Now I need to bring in the big guns. What are the systemic choices that are being used to solve this problem? Thanks for your input  |

The Bayer insecticide that contains both imacloprid and beta-cyflutherin. You can buy it mixed or buy the bottle where you mix it. It is much cheaper to buy the product you mix and keep it on hand all the time. Spray or drench the entire plant, including the media, and twice more a week apart. Brooke |
