How do I get rid of black mold?

I have black mold growing on the roots of my vandas and don't know how to get rid of it I am afraid they are going to die. What to do.

I'm sorry I don't have an answer for your question, but I'd like to see what others have to say.
Good luck!!

I get e-mail stuff from Ryan, "The Orchid Guy" and he suggests Listerine. Not that your orchids have bad breath, but Listerine has anti-fungal properties, and the alcohol content also makes it effective against bugs.
He suggests:
This "2-in-1" home remedy can be used as a spray at full strength for short periods (up to 2-3 consecutive days is okay) as a preventative
measure on your orchids.

Simply spray your plant lightly once a week or so, and you'll have yourself a quick and easy way to keep away unwanted pests and disease...
Just be sure to ONLY use the original (gold colored) version, because the flavored versions have added substances that are not 100% orchid-friendly.

Haven't tried this on any of my plants, but it may be worth a try..

once infected it is difficult to get rid of. But natural sunligh can keep the plant relatively mold free. So keep the plant in natural sunlight (a short 15 min morning should do the trick). Most strap vanda cannot full sunlight so don't keep them in the sun for too long. They love partial shade though.
