Help for and oncidium with freckled leaves!

Hi! My aunt gave me a couple oncidium bulbs (don't know which oncidium it is) to repot about 10 months ago. I've repotted it in bark and coconut fibers but so far the new growth has been very slow in developing and all the leaves are freckled. It is near a west facing window (not the best from what I read, but the best I can do in my house), it gets lots of light but not direct light. Pics are attached.

Looks like it may be spidermite damage. If you look very close then you may see tiny red mites and their silk. Spidermites often affect plants in too low of humidity but can be fairlyeasily controled with neem oil or even soapy water.

Hi LouisW. Thanks for your reply. I've been wacthing it closely for a few weeks now and have never seen any insects on or near it, nor any silky-like substance. It sits on a counter top by the window with other orchids and about a dozen violets and none of them show the same symptom. Thanks anyway! I do think I might try the neem oil though. Do you think it would hurt if I try it not being sure what the cause of the problem is?

It definitely looks to me to be some kind of mite damage. Whether spider mites or another kind I can't tell. There are other kinds of mites too. It's also possible it is old damage. Plants don't heal so any damage done to the plant before you got it will remain.
