Psychopsis kramerianum

ok i think this is Psychopsis kramerianum or maybe oncidium kramerianum

what can be wrong with the leaves? - almost as if they are falling in like bad skin

it gets extra shade and water when it is almost dry

A few possibilities I can think of include underwatering, heat or cold damage, or too much fertilizer. But without knowing more about how you care for it, it's hard to know. Do any of those sound plausible?

Psychopsis always seem to develop bad leaves. Fortunately they make up for it with gorgeous flowers. Your damage looks like sunburn.

Mine never have trouble with their leaves, but they are grown inside. I'm not sure what is wrong with yours although sunburn comes to mind.

Thank you for the good advice - i moved it to more shade in the greenhouse, but it is still a bit cold at night here, not completely spring yet, hopefully it will get warmer soon

ok its under 70% shade net - but now it seems its not doing anything (not making new leafs or flowers) and the winter is finnished. Are they perhaps slow to start the new season?

They can be very sulky sometimes. Mine sat for 3 months and did nothing and then started flowering but didn't get a new growth for several more months.

The correct name of this species is neither Psychopsis kramerianum nor oncidium kramerianum. It is: Psychopsis krameriana

All my Psychopsis grow rather slowly. My krameriana currently has a new growth as do most of my other Psy but like I said...they are slow. I have mine outside getting shifting sun/shade throughout the day and late afternoon direct sun. If your winter is over and the weather is warming up I would start watching for new growth activity over the next month, and maybe consider increasing your light exposure a bit.

Let us know how it goes.
