Paph Brown Tip

Can someone please advise what's wrong with this paph.

I even tried to cut the brown tip but it ended the remaining leave turn brown.

I had an oncidium that was doing that. I had to cut about an inch or two into the green, to make sure I went down far enough it had not gotten to that part yet. I'm still learning, but that's what everyone else told me to do.

looks like a little fert burn....make sure your dosage of fert is very light for paphs....

I agree with dounoharm especially since these leaves aren't touching a surface of anything. I had some touch a surface that was wet I figured would dry and the leaves did this also because the area they were touching didn't dry over night. So in this case dounoharm's answer sounds right on target.

Hi
It has been 1 year I did not change the media for this plant.
Can such media cause fert burn?

My media consist of LECA, charcoal and bark

There are a number of things that can cause such symptoms.
  • Your water and/or fertilizer solution pH is WAY off from what it should be
  • Your water has contaminants in it
  • Your water is too high in dissolved solids, and/or it is when you fertilize (i.e., too strong)
  • The medium has accumulated too high a dose of dissolved solids, or plant waste products
There could be other possibilities I haven't considered, but those jump to the top of my consideration.
