HELP! What kind of pest is this?????

Have these on my baby aloe, african violets, and one on a seedling 'chid.' How do I treat????? What are they????? I am FREAKING OUT!

Those are mealy bugs. You can wipe them off with Q-tips and alcohol. Also, the "best stuff ever" in the Diseases and Pests section of the forum works really well on them. I used it to kill a couple mealies I found on my orchids on Monday. If you do use the "best stuff ever", make sure you pour it through the plants' mix as I've been told the bugs like to hide down in there.

I would quarantine the plants with mealies for at least a week after you treat them to make sure they little buggers don't come back.

Is it the season for them or what??
We've had like 4 threads about them this week. o.O

I think it is. I've found little clusters of these nasties on my phals

I'm on high alert watch for them. Just finished a bout with the aphids on outside garen plants sighs.... Now time to watch for these

Mealy bugs have usually spread far beyond the first ones you see. Assume every plant in the area has them.
