| phal's with pitted leaves
I have several phals that have pitted leaves. Some of plants have pits that go all the way through the leaf. Originally I thought it was caused by the hail storm that they got caught in one afternoon while soaking up a spring rain, but I have some youngsters that weren't privy to that hailstorm. I've also had a resent bought of mealy bugs that I've been working on erradicating and wonder if they could've caused this. Any thoughts? ![]() Thank you! Stacey |

Yes, I agree, regardles of what caused them I dont' expect they will be any trouble. They look like mechanical damage, just the sort that might be caused by hail.

I agree about the leaves looking very dark, possibly not enough light. Gradually move the plant closer to the light source, until the leaves feel warm, then pull them back a few inches and they'll be perfect.

| Just make sure not to expose it to direct sunlight, that would cause to burn the leaves.

And remember, with moving it closer to the light source there will be more evaporation of the water, how much depends on your situation. Check out this thread if you haven't already.

Gradulally move your plant to a sunnier location, so it won't stress the plant out. Drastic changes often harm the plant
