2 Problem Phals

I haven't had much experience with any kind of rot/bacteria/fungal problems...so I need some help with two Phals.

The first one is Phal lindenii X pulcherrima. It has developed some yellow spots on the 3 older leaves. The 2 newest leaves do not have any spots at all. I am assuming it is some kind of fungal infection, or bacterial? I am planning on treating with Physan 20. Just wanted to see what others thought of the spotting, etc.

And the second one is a Phal noid that had mealies when I purchased it. It has some dark looking indentations on the older leaves as well. I haven't kept a close eye on it so I don't know if it is getting worse or not. The newest leaf does not have any damage.

first few set of photos look like bacteria problem, which lead to secondary fungus problem.
So physan will be helpful two days later you might want to spray white oil/ neem oil/ summer oil. If you use neem oil remember to follow 2 days later with physan to get rid of bacterial in neem oil (at least that what i had)

so reasons
plant 1 physan get rid of bacteria follow by neem oil to get rid of potential mite problem (difficult for me to see) follow by physan again to kill bacterial in neem oil.
Second plant look good so far.

The second one, no, not that I have noticed at all. The first one, had a small spot a while ago, and I had assumed it was the start of sunburn and had moved it further away from the window. I haven't kept a close eye on them but I don't recall last watering (4 days ago) that there were that many yellow spots on the first one.

Have you ever had white scale? The light discolorations are typical damage after white scale have had a good drink from your plant. They are very small, the spots start out very small but increase in size after a day or two.

I've never had them on a phal but they love my catts. An imacloprid product should eliminate them after a couple of treatments.

I haven't had white scale before. I've had the brown scale on newly acquired plants, but have treated immediately. This is a plant that I've had for a few years now, and looked for pests, but to no avail.

Is it okay to mark on the leaves with a pen or marker where the spots are so I can tell if they are getting bigger easily?

Yes marking it would give you an idea if it was still spreading.

It could also be a slight nutrient deficiency but don't ask me what it would be. Some of the smarter folks will have to weigh in on that.
