If it has yellow around the edges and grows it may require surgery. I had a similar scenerio on one of mine and it stayed the same for 4-5 months and then started to grow. Soon the whole leaf was obviously a goner and I was fearing for the plant itself - ended up cutting with a sharp knife and dusting the cut edges with cinnamon. Initially just keep an eye on it and make certain it is not spreading. Post a pic if you can for more comments. mike

Based on the experience I have had, if it is growing I would go 1/4-1/2" outside of the affected area and cut it off with a sterile tool and dust the cut area with cinnamon and hope you have the problem nipped in the bud. In my situation the black was near the base of the leaf and by the time I noticed it had spread the leaf was bad clear down to the base of the leaf - which I'm hoping doesn't affect the rest of the plant now that I have the leaf removed.
