maybe you are watering too much? i have a dendrobium biggibum and i water it maybe once in 2 weeks the medium should be dry between waterings.

I dont see a serious problem with the plant. However, how many hours of light did you provide it? U need about four hours of bright light on it. (not direct)

I had the same when I watered not enough but if the roots are rotted (over watering, deteriorated bark etc), the plant suffers from lack of water too.

Question

I have the same problem, but my yellow leaves are also affecting my new-er canes...could this be a virus? slowly over the last 6 months the leaves have been getting the same yellow/green blochiness you see on the above plant, but the leaves don't fall off or die- they just stay that molted coloring...

any advice? (Den N Yellow Song grown in S/H in eastern window with full-flush watering with distilled water and neutrients every 2-3 days.)

I have a dendrobium in bloom that is losing all the leaves off one cane, from the bottom up. They yellow and wrinkle, then fall off. Then the next one up starts. There are only 3 leaves left on the cane now. There is another blooming dendrobium right beside it that is having no problems.

The other leaves look great, it is just one leaf at a time affected and only on one cane. This is not a blooming cane, BTW.

sound like fungus problem to me. I could be wrong.U can try applying fungicides, might have insufficient sunlight on the plant.

I'll spray on some Physan 20. I have it in the living room, which is much dimmer than where I usually grow the plants. I only bring in the ones in bloom so we can enjoy them. It looks like the last 3 leaves are holding strong, maybe the trend has stopped.

Thanks for the advice.
