Green leaf turned Yellow

What has happened? Would lief turn yellow like this (pictures attached) from not enough water? Should I remove the lief? Please explain a bit of what has caused this.

When I saw this I did add water to the pot as I only water about 1 every 6 weeks. Could there be any root damage?
There are two plant in the same pot.

Hi it looks like an older leaf is dying, usually not a big deal. However, did you say you only water about once every 6 weeks?????? I am betting your plant would like more water than that.

It will come off on it's own. Also, the bowl that's under the plant should not have water standing in it after watering.

Usually when a leaf turns yellow, then brown, and then die off, it is a normal thing since it indicates the leaf is old and will be discarded.

It is best to let the leaf fall off by itself after it finishes turning brown and starts to shrivel. But you can cut the yellow/brown leaf if you wish for aesthetic reasons, for it will not harm the plant.

by cutting it you expose the plant to the air and pathogens. by letting it fall off the plant 'seals off' the damaged area before it falls off. A healthy plant will very quickly 'scare over' and prevent contamination. reiterating englandfx it really doesn't matter.
