Found The Critter In Time

I can't take a picture of this teensy worm, b/c it is about 1/16 of an inch.

But it is deep dark grey w/blk head.

I saw this unusual dust from the net orchid pot, or from whatever, gosh I thought that dust looks so uniform. NOT

When I got the magnifying glass the things were moving.

So I tore apart my grow room and washed, bleached it.

I looked it up thinking it might be Soil gnats, but their larvae are white or clear, never black at any stage.

I don't know and it would take too long to find it on the net.

Seems to me some wise person on here said worms, larvae are all bad.

Does my description strike anyone?

I just found the same tiny worms/larvae on a Hoya outside on the porch. They did hatch from an egg case that covered a leaf. I don't know what, but it could be that bad Gypsy moth we have up here. I Sevin (ed) it anyway.

Likely a good idea to remove it.
I thought about spraying all my plants with malathion before bringing them inside but I have lady bugs. :|
