Mount Slc. Mem. Dorothy Worden?

While changing a light fixture today we had an accident knocking a Slc. Mem. Dorothy Worden x B. nodosa (given to me, don't have a clue what the flowers will be like) and it's pot broke. It wasn't in the best of shape but there is some new root growth and I'm trying to decide whether to mount this plant or try S/H with it. I'm going to post this on the S/H forum also to get some opinions that way. If I do mount it, should I use a standard mounting? Upside down? I cleaned out the dead roots and It's sitting on some wet gravel while I decide on what course to go with it.

As always, any ideas will be appreciated!

I do not know why wimpy mounts them but I know that I mount them because that is the way they grow in the wild, it is natural for them. My specie orchids do much better when I mount them and bloom much more. Wimpy while you are waiting to decide I would not lay it on the rocks because you do not want the roots to stay wet, while my orchids are waiting to be mounted I just lay them by my other plants after all they are air plants and if you mount it it will be in open air. If it were me I would mount it, I have some that are mounted on the bottom of a basket that I have turned upside down.

We had a man from Columbia who showed photos of plants growing naturally down there and as he said they were all growing vertically. In all the pictures of their native habitat I saw no pots, baskets or any of the other things we use, only hanging on to the side of a tree.
