Got bored

So I got boerd with my NOID Phals, so I decided to make an orchid tree. In addition to the six Phals, I also attached 9 assorted air plants and dried Spanish moss for effect.

Very natural looking with the moss. I like the effect there. Can't wait to see it bloom. Did it cure your boredom?

Fantastic!! That's a great use for the NOIDS. Is it outside now? Hope you have a place for it in the winter--you get some pretty rough ones in Pa.

That is really neat. I too had the same question. How you going to water it indoors come winter?

Very cool! Sure, it's going to look phaltastic in bloom, but it also looks terrific in 'leaf'!

I like the idea that it only takes one pot's worth of bench space. I really want to try one now so that I can make more room for my other plants, which ae becoming a bit crowded. you did a great job! I love to see orchids grown so naturally. Please continue to post pictures so we can see how spectacular it becomes each season.

Wow. They look great on that "tree". Looks like you got the watering down. I'm sure it take a while to water them all. Nice job. I love the way it looks!

LOOOOOOOOOVE it!!

I was just recently discussing w/my husband the other day... a very similar type of multi plant mount...except maybe having one hanging from the ceiling (more horizontal than vertical) in the grow room somewhere.

Where did you get the branch? Is it just something you picked up outside?

I love the way it looks and the way the chids are doing. Those broms like the tiger looking leaves at the bottom gives it an even more exotic look. Thanks.

There wont be a next time ........................ my wife hid my saw.
I wonder if it was all the tree house remarks? By the way just so you can get a better idea, it took a crane to get it off the house.

Jbigio, probably a silly question (but then I'm full of these type of questions), when you brought your Orchid Tree into the house what kind of flooring do you have (carpet/wood/tile) and how do you keep your flooring clean and dry when watering your TREE ???

The floor in the plant room look like wood but they are rubber that seals to each other giving you a water proof floor so I don't worry to much about the water on the floor and it loos just like a wood floor.
