Mounted a Den. jenkinsii

Was given these...they told the flowers give a honey fragrance.

I got an old chunk of wood...it has a natural tripod twist to it. What do you guys think.

I really like orchids like this that have relatively large and lots of flowers for the size of the plant.

I woke up this morning and found this and named it Vivi...on behalf of Vivi our fellow orchidgeek. She found it and mentioned and channeled bloom boosting energy (better than any N-P-K bloom booster out there...best in the market!). Anyway, here it is still hasn't fully opened. I also have a question...it doesn't have a fragrance...I kinda have a stuffy nose but I assume it needs to fully open in order for it to emit a scent? Vivi, do you remember a fragrance when you saw it at the show?

Now as for a fragrance at the show... I was diagnosed with pneumonia 2 days after the show so my nose was definitely not working while I was there. Someone needs to invent smell-o-vision internet! LOL

Well the grower's description mentioned a honey fragrance...hopefully that is the case. It was given to me so it isn't a big deal. I know my mother has a similar plant Den. chrysophyllum (not sure if that is the exact name but something along those lines) and it had a smell to it.

Very nice! I really like the wild and artistic look of mounts like this. This will be a sight to behold when the plants are better established and in bloom! I hope that honey fragrance becomes noticeable soon!

Now, I need to find friends who give me great orchids too!
