| The palm bark will not harm the orchid but it will rot quickly and probably fall apart in less than 2 years. Try to stay wilth very hard woods like grapevine, oak and cypress where you can expect 8-15 years. Pine driftwood also does not last very long.

| I think you will be OK mounting this. You might want to use a gallon baggie to slip this into until the roots start, but leave it wide open at the top. You want to raise the humidity a bit, but you also want that mount to not stay too wet continuously.

| You know... I think that this plant have high chances to survive because it have 3 mature bulbs which serve like energy storages and one new growth. I've read somewhere tat oak tree isn't good for mounting because it contains a lot of salts (tanin) ... Is this true? |
