My first mount!

Well, I finally did it!! I mounted my first orchid and I haven't been this nervous since I bought my last new car 12 yrs ago!! I bought the piece of cork wood probably a year ago, but have just dreaded the thought of possibly killing one of my orchids! I chose my mini Phal Rhea since she is small and just doesn't seem to be growing well! She hasn't rebloomed since I got her either! I'm praying she doesn't die because I didn't know what I was doing, even though I checked out many previous posts here!

It looks great! I see a new root too. That root will grow toward the cork and attach before you know it! I mounted a phal in July and it's already pretty well attached to the mount. You will love it!

Looks like you did a wonderful job. I agree that the roots will attach in no time.

Upside down its perfect good job! Water won't get trapped in the leaves that way.
