What is your favorite wood for mounting orchids? I've been using teak, but would like to experiment with different kinds of wood. What type(s) of wood, in your opinion, should I avoid altogether? I have 2 orange osage wood planks, but don't know whether these would be ok. Your input is greatly appreciated. ![]() |

I use a lot of grapewood and mopani, mostly because they're easy to get and durable. Mopani is especially nice for orchids that really love acid feeds.
