Hey everyone. Here are my new mounts. Enjoy!! --Here is my Paraphalaenopsis Kolopaking on a Teakwood mount. I purchased this from RF orchids this year and it has a gorgeous cinnamon scented flower. It came potted but Maria did not like. Here it is: Paraphalaenopsis :: Paraphalaenopsis Kolopaking (2009) picture by peeweelovesbooks - Photobucket --Here is my Renanthera monachica. I purchased this from RF this summer. When preparing for mounting, it divided in two. Lucky me!! Here is monachica A: Renantheras :: Renanthera monachica A #1 (2009) picture by peeweelovesbooks - Photobucket Renantheras :: Renanthera monachica A #2 (2009) picture by peeweelovesbooks - Photobucket --And its former Siamese twin, Renanthera monachica B: Renantheras :: Renanthera monachica B #1 (2009) picture by peeweelovesbooks - Photobucket Renantheras :: Renanthera monachica B #2 (2009) picture by peeweelovesbooks - Photobucket --I purchased this Neostylis Lou Sneary 'Blue Bird' @ the Tamiami International Orchid Show in Miami in February of this year. I decided to mount it, and it seems happy: Vanda Alliance :: Neosytlis Lou Sneary 'Blue Bird' #1 (2009) picture by peeweelovesbooks - Photobucket Vanda Alliance :: Neosytlis Lou Sneary 'Blue Bird' #2 (2009) picture by peeweelovesbooks - Photobucket --Finally, my Vanda denisoniana x sib. I purchased this @ RF in February of this year and it looked like this: Vanda Alliance :: Vanda denisoniana x sib #1 (2009) picture by peeweelovesbooks - Photobucket But, I did not like the look of it, so after it bloomed (2 flowers only the first time), I mounted it. Now, it looks like this: Vanda Alliance :: Vanda denisoniana x sib #2 (2009) picture by peeweelovesbooks - Photobucket Vanda Alliance :: Vanda denisoniana x sib #3 (2009) picture by peeweelovesbooks - Photobucket If you notice, I use yarn. For me, it's easier than fishing line or wire to manipulate, and it makes awesome-ly tight knots. I hope you enjoy the pictures. I have to find more teakwood for other plants that I have. Peace. Out. | Hi, I haven't been able to find teakwood mounts like this online, unfortunately. I buy them from RF orchids here in Homestead. They come with the wire attachment already in place. thanks everyone for their kind comments. |
