New additions and mounted Catts.

I've been real busy. Got some new additions in the mail today.

Ascocentrum curvifolium
Paph. moquettianum
Sarcochilus Heidi
Zygo. Cynosure 'Blue birds'
Aerangis biloba

I mounted some and left some in their pots for now. I have a few more off e-bay but the seller is no longer a member and the listings were removed. It's been over a week and no delivery. I contacted e-bay and they will be giving me some contact info. for the seller. The seller just up and vanished! That sucks! Hope I get my money back at least.

Here are 4 new seedlings I mounted on cork. I also mounted more Catts. today that weren't doing so well in the pots. Thought I'd see how they do on the grape wood.

I love your grape wood mounts!
Hope you get your money or plants from the disappearing ebayer. That really really sucks.

If u paid using Paypal, they refund I think.

I had one seller (not orchids) get deregistered for some reason, but still got my purchase, so hang in for a cpl of days. Otherwise, just use it as a learning experience....

They look wonderful! The Zns Cynosure doesn't like being mounted (most zygo hybrids don't).

Thanks. I have a bunch more to mount. Also Jerry's order should be coming in soon too.

I'm still waiting for e-bay to email me back on the sellers' info. I'm still hoping I get my plants and not have to file a claim. I did use Paypal so that's good.

Got it! Thanks for telling me that. I won't mount the Zygo. then.

I've read that Z triste can do well mounted but haven't tried it. The others just hate being dry so much that it'd be impossible to keep up with the watering on a mount!

The ones you've done so far look terrific. Where'd you get your grapewood, if you don't mind passing it on? I'm always looking for cheaper and/or better!

Your mounts look great. Too bad about your ebay seller. My daughter and I do bead work and we used to buy crystals on ebay . We were burned so many times we gave up buying there. Hope you either get your orchids or your money.

Solay, if you use a credit card to fund your PayPal, you can simply have your credit card company reverse the charge. There's no reason for you to lose on this unless you have your PayPal funded straight from your bank account.

I LOVE using credit cards for puchases for this very reason. I've had to do it twice now and it's a fabulous benefit.

Good luck - oh, and LOVE your mounts...yes, we all seem to have mount fever.

They look beautiful Cindy, nice work!!!!

The grapewood is just lovely with the little 'cups' just begging for an orchid friend!

I was looking around for some cheap grape wood and I was told on one of the posts to try a repile or pet store. I found one online that had a sale for like $4 a piece so I bought a bunch. They are very large pieces too and pretty heavy. I'm thinking of splitting them in half. I think it's called Pet Solutions but now I only see drift wood on the site. There are plenty more pet stores that'll carry grape wood for cheaper. Try them.

As for e-bay, I'm still waiting. I did pay by credit so that's good. This is the first time I've had a problem with them besides maybe getting a swany plant that wasn't worth the money.

That is one heck of a replacing spree!

I love the Paph. moquettianum. They are great sequential bloomers.
