More new mounts

Den ceraula on grapewood root:

Den Super Ise on grapewood:

Den victoriae-reginae on mopani wood:

Den primulinum (or whatever) on grapewood:

The ceraula, vic-reg and Super Ise all have flower buds as well as new canes starting since being mounted. Probably just a coincidence since it is spring, but it's much better than going limp and dying! The primulinum has new canes, too.

I did all the mounting myself. They either came on plain boards or plastic baskets.

Very nice. I can't wait to see the blooms.

I also like the tags. That is one way to no lose them.

Those are gorgeous - where do you find the grapewood vine? Here the only place I can find them is the pet store - and they are expensive there.

Fish and reptile suppliers. Their intended use was aquariums and terrariums!

Thanks for the idea. I bought a bunch of grape wood from a pet store on-line and love them.

Oh my gosh...

I love, love, love your mounts... so scrumptious to the eye. You are an artist & I'm thanking you for sharing those lovely photos.

I also love your tags & I'm guessing those are pet tags

Would you mind if I swipe that idea???

I recently mounted a vanda that I have in Jamaica on a piece of driftwood... and it is hanging... twists in the wind.

Your mounts on the grapewood remind me of the twisted driftwood.

Cheers to your beautiful work

I missed this beautiful thread somehow! You did a great job with the mounts. The pet tags for labels is a classy touch. I've seen those machines at Walmarts but never thought to make anything but pet tags with 'em! How cool!
