help needed!

I was wondering whether i would need T-5 or T-8 lights for my orchids. This would be almost the only light in the room. I have VAndas, Catts, Phals, Dens, Paphs, and Onc. I didn't want to get the wrong type of light and kill off my collection.

I think it is unlikely you will kill of your collection by selecting the one of these lights over the other. I see you have quite a range of light requirements. The Vandas and Catts require high light while the Paphs and Phals are low light orchids. Short of burning an orchid I'd prefer to err on the side of giving them too much light and select the brighter option as the high light orchids, though I doubt they'd die, might not flower at a lower light level.
