Questioning my repot.

I got Fdk. hybrid seedlings the other day and decided to transplant them into a new 4" clay pot. I used ceramic hydro pellets and but decided to layer the bottom of the pot with spag. moss to keep the moisture up. It has been very hot here lately and figured how seedlings would require a higher level of moisture.

Today it rains and when it rains it pours. This ot me to think if it was even a good idea to add that layer of spag.

Damien, Where you are, I don't think so. With folks that grow with Hydro all the time, the bottom of the container is all water. I think you're o.k.- Keep us posted....

I used to mix some sphag into my hydro throughout the pot when potting Phals. It is just a little higher moisture level. At the bottom of the pot it should be minimal difference from straight hydro
