| Update on my orchids.....
It took me a while. I had some fits and starts, but I finally found something that works for me. I use Jack's Classic Orchid Special 30-10-10 at about a 1/4 heaping teaspoon per gallon of tap water that I use 1/2 teaspoon of phDown in. I let the reservoir and the sides of the pot get totally dry before rewatering. I also have all of the rest of my orchids in the Luwasa pots with this same fertilizer mix and they are doing great as well, but this specimen is just thriving!! This one is a NOID I purchased for half price at a local garden supply that has absolutely beeeeeautiful plants. It will be a lovely shade of bright yellow when it is in bloom. |

Thank you! There was a learning curve I had to go through with the humidity in my area and frequency of watering, but I love Ray's S/H pots and I do plan on ordering some more pots and purchasing some more plants in the future. |

I understand the principal and procedures of s/h, just never tried it since I've been growing in bark for fifteen years. Not that I'm opposed to change, I'm just comfortable with bark. I've been wanting to try s/h, and if I ever decide to try another Phal, I'll probably give it a go. Excuse to get another plant? I think so!
