The Good News I recently have been potting up my Cattleya alliance in S/H because of the low humidity at my house. Most of them were trans-planted in the first week of July.
I have been washing the hydroton until the water runs clean and then soaking it until it drops to the bottom of the bucket before using it. It may take days to drop, but I find it helps the hydroton stay in the containers better when you water them.
All the plants planted (with a few exceptions) had new growth and I have been very pleased with the results so far.
All the Catts transplanted show good growth. Here are the pics.
