Lightbulb Is HydroCulture a good Medium for Phal?

Hi All,
Does anyone have any idea or experience with using hydro-culture as the medium for pahalenopsis?
If so, which watering method should be used then?

Thanks...

It can be done if the relative humidity of your environment isn't too high. It is too wet here in Singapore for most growers to use hydroponics, but given your states that you are based in UAE, I think this technique could be quite promising for orchid growing. It'll at least help maintain the appropriate humidity level.

Here is a website where you can read more about it: Welcome to First Rays Orchids

I repotted 5 of my plants in semi-hydroponics. so far, so good... I have an album of the repotting on my profile if you want to take a look... One major thing I have changed with this method is that I no longer use tap water...spoiled plants that they are now get bottled...ha!

I have repotted 11 of my orchids and so far it has all been good. I just posted a thread showing 4 of 9 orchids that have new growths that weren't present before S/H. So I am happy and it seems that my 'chids are happy too! I will be repotting most of the others after a vacation.
