Aspasia lunata, is this normal?

I noticed new growth and now I see it is a bud/flower but it appears "stuck". Is this normal for the Aspasia lunata....or are the conditions not quite right. I have it outside....temps have been near 90 everyday....with lots of humdidity and air movement.
