April's orchid collection

Here is what I have so far. I don't have lots of room but I am filling up most of the window spaces in the house! My husband is tolerant but thinks I have too many!

Paph St Swithin
Paph lowii
Paph callosum
Paph (Rasin Jack x Black Hawk) x Black Currant
Paph sukhakulii x Oriental Spice
Paph tonsum 'David' x henryanum 'Gandalf'
Paph Armeni White
Paph Magic Lantern
Paph Maudiae
Paph NOID (new addition)
Phrag Sorcerer's Apprentice
Mokara (yellow noid)
Oncidium Twinkle (white)
Sederia japonica
Brassia External Wind 'Summer Dream'
Brassocattleya Little Stars x Maikai 'Hawaii'
Phal NOID (white) has a keki
Phal Naples Night x (Petite Rose x Glad Melinda)
Dendrobium bigibbum (pink)
Dendrobium Cathy Beck
I would like to try some of the brassocattleya's and I always have room for more Paph's!
Also on my wish list is another Vanda.

You've got a nice collection there! I'm a huge Paph fan so I'm especially impressed with your taste in Paphs. You've got good variety and some beautiful flowers! I'm looking forward to seeing your flowers.

There are some mistakes in a few of your plant names though so here are a few corrections:

An orchid can have only 2 direct parents so this cross is either:
Paph (Rasin Jack x Black Hawk) x Black Currant, or it's
Paph Rasin Jack x (Black Hawk x Black Currant).
Does the tag say which is which?

The first part makes sense: Paph Maudiae. It's a very famous hybrid, but the second part, coloratum doesn't go with the first part. I'm not really sure what the coloratum is there for.

Both Vanda and Mokara are generic names (genus) though they are expressed here as if Vanda was the species name and mokara was the species name. I'm retty sure what you have is a yellow noid Mokara.

The correct name for this species is Den. biggibum.

April, you got a long list there. It's hard to keep the list updated with all the new purchases and all. Hey, where are the Cyms. ????

LOL, Cyms are easy. Kick them outside for the summer and bring them back in before frost. You can't lose. (just watch for squirrels, LOL.)
