OK, where do you live? I know those orchids must have taken up the house by now. Nice list there. So many yet so many more to add.

The paph Sanderianum is one that hasn't bloomed yet and I can't remember where I got it so I can't tell you anything about it. I did start a spread sheet for all my chids a few months ago thanks to a friend starting it for me, and I have found pictures for almost everything - either my own or web photos. This is one I don't have a pic for - maybe misnamed?
All of these are in a 7x10 sunporch that gets fabulous light. It has a rather large overhanging roof so I can adjust light levels pretty well. I have one lounge chair in there for me to enjoy my babies, and a couple of bookshelves against the wall, and we are stuffed in like sardines! Needless to say, it's my favorite room! In the winter, which is a bit Loooong here (!) I need two space heaters to keep it warm enough. Before I got the second heater, I did lose a number of catt's and oncidiums and a few others.
Oh yes, I also have a couple of terrariums in the dining room with a grow light on them, where I keep the babies.

Paph sanderianum is a true collectors plant that takes a long time to flower. Photos are hard since the 'Fu Manchu' looking petals can be 3 feet long. A photo never properly shows the plant.

Here is a photo of a young plant, but it fails to show the potential magnificence of the flower.

I noticed you had the nobile-type hybrid Dendrobium Star Sapphire. These are my wife's favorite and they are not in production at this time so we are limited to her single plant. It causes a lot of problems when she decides to use it in a show display.

LauraGR, I notice that you have Den. spectabile. Have you suceeded in blooming this plant, and if so, what kind of light, etc. are you using? Mine is spectacularly healthy in growth, but has not bloomed despite being adequate blooming size.

I'm going to print this off to show my husband in case he ever says I have enough orchids (I don't think he's that silly....).

Fishmom- I have a spectabile (just a weensy baby tho- not blooming size yet), but I did read up on them, and from memory, they like loooow light (lower than other dens). I imagine this is to imitate the dense, rainforest effect they get in their native PNG???

Thanks for your response, Tansyflower. Yes, I know that spectabile prefer low light, similar to phals I have been told. The one I have has a growth bump starting that just may be a spike, but it is going so slowly that I am despairing of it ever maturing. It's hard not to give in to the impulse to try a new spot for it in hopes of spurring the growth, but I'm afraid to jinx the thing by moving it, too.

I haven't got to the stage where I have been trying to bloom it, but from what I read before I bought it, it can be a bit stubborn.

Boy thats some list. I am a mere embryo compared to that. My son is going to Minniapolis tomorrow for business, maybe I should stow away in his luggage and come see all these!(He'll be so close, but unfortunately won't be able to come to Chicago to visit me).
