Ok so I'm a total newbie, have on sentimental Phal that I want desperately to keep alive. I read exasperatus2002's project and decided I had to try a cross and now that I have read yours I have to try my own flasking. Good thing because I couldn't afford to send them off.

Keep up the good work.

If your Phal isn't doing well, the best thing that you can do for it is cut off the spike and get it back into grow mode. I definately wouldn't have it carry a seed pod. If its already in bloom, you can remove the pollen, wrap it in paper and store it in the fridge until you are ready to use it on another Phal.

Sending them off wasnt bad. It was sent with $15 to cover the sowing & seed preperation. Then its $16 for each flask I want back. 1 liter flasks holding 25 plants. Theres no minimum order.

Exasperatus....I'm sure it was mentioned in your thread and I read it start to finish but without going back and reading it all over again....Which lab did you send it off to?

Well thank you Peekapoo! Oh boy I've been flasking like a mad woman...then I got a job....screetching halt!! Unfortunately another lay-off so I'm back to my tooth-pick monkey business and I'll see if I can dig up some new pics.
