Welcome back orchidlord.

I'm afraid there's nothing you can do about your pod. The environments in which we raise our orchids are not good for germinating orchid seeds and so I'm sorry to say they will not germinate. Orchid seeds are usually harvested before the pod ripens and are germinated in sterile conditions in flasks in a laboratory. By the time a seed pod ripens and opens it is too late for them to be flasked.

When you polinate your next flower, contact someone who does flasking and they will then tell you when to harvest the pod and send it to them.

what the hell, try it anyway, all you'll have lost is a container and some bark and a plastic bag.

if you are really really really lucky, like lottery lucky, you may get some seeds to germinate in the same bark where the mom plant lived. Of course, provided that the right fungus is the bark and roots and humidity and temperature is just right. (like putting the bark in a glass jar with some moss and some chopped mom's roots, water and seeds and keep it warm for months.

Yeah, extremely unlikely to have success, unless you have the perfect conditions. however give it a try, that's how people germinated orchids 100 years ago by trial and error and it worked sometimes! lol

Hi Orchid Lord
Put the seed pod in a coffee filter and put in a mason jar--any flasker can disinfect the seed and use them, very possibly geriminate them--I do it all the time--in fact I trade seeds with flaskers around the world, that way you can build a collection of rare orchids, that you would never be able to buy the plants
