Are my seed pods close??

I was a little shocked to notice a difference in my seed pods today. This is on my Phal. pinlong cheris x self. They were pollinated on 3-4-11. They have been doing exceptionally well. Today I noticed a change. Are they close to opening? Its only been about 4 months.

the only way i can tell, is with my crucifix orchids (reed stemmed epidendrums), they get seed pods all the time and the plants are as common as anything.
but as i was saying the only way i can tell is by checking on them every day or two and when they split is when id say they were ready

Judging by the size, no.

I keep a close eye on them, and the moment I see any sign of yellowing at either end, it's time for "green pod" harvesting. (OK, orchids don't have pods. They have capsules.)

The fact that yours is turning brownish throughout its structure suggests to me that it is infertile and being aborted by the plant.

It is going to pop . But I would bet the seed pod could not germinate . At least mine don't . It is a little too small for a phal seed pod .
