Was this a paph seed pod?

So the first bud on my Paph Golddollar was a bit abused and it seemed like the bloom fell off fairly early (however, I have no idea when it actually bloomed) and I noticed something that looked like a seed pod. I went in to check on it today, and it looks like this. I'm guessing that the pod is no longer viable. Am I right in thinking that a paph bloom can't pollinate itself though, or would that be possible in the case of hybrids?

Hello!
Yup, looks like an aborted pod. C'est la guerre. Paphs can self. Or it could be pollen from another paph (any within a bee's flight?). Either case, blame the bugs! I dunno if paphs can reproduce parthenogenetically (w/out fertilization by pollen), but other orchids can...

Happy growing!
