compot - pots

How shallow of a pot do you use for your compots? I just have mine in a reg sized plastic pot.

Largely depends on what you are compotting.
Cymbids for example would need at least 4 to 6 inches.

My Paphs are in 2 inch deep compots for a full growing season.
Sarcs, bigger one go straight into 3 inch pots, small go in to compots 2 inches deep. for example.

I just did a flask Catleyas, most were big enough to go into individual 3 inch pots rest into 2 inch deep compots.

Basically the roots dictate how deep the compot needs to be, same for potting into larger individual pots.
