| I'm not certain about this particular book as I have never seen it, but having a few books is nice for a number of reasons. It provides a quick resource for sharing with friends different issues involving orchids including, but not limited to, different classifications - what the major types look like, what some of your own plants might be similar to when in bloom, etc. In terms of HOW TO information I think you have the right idea - probably just as good or better to ask people right here on this or other forums who are actually growing them and get the information directly. Once you find a really good resource book with excellent photographs you will find yourself periodically reviewing/refreshing your knowledge, enjoying the beauty and variety within the orchid family just for the wonder of it, and find yourself going to sleep with visions of sugar plums and lady slippers dancing in your head.......:-) |
