I would try to maintain "moist" and make sure there is good ventilation around the roots. If you waver on the "moist" make it on the dry side.

I agree with Louis. A well draining mix, but moist. Check this link: http://www.orchidgeeks.com/forum/new...f-orchids.html I water mine with a spray bottle on the surface.
