What is this little growth?

I brought this Cattleya home about three weeks ago. I recently posted some picts.
I put it in the sink to water it and saw a little growth down in the middle. It is very small, maybe a half inch? It is growing on a very thin root that is coming from the base.
I'm almost certain its not a weed. (I know my weeds quite well) Looks orchid shapped too.
Do Catts keiki? I do not know much about them at all.

It could be a seedling of some plants that you dont know. It is possible that some birds dropping contained the seeds and now it has germinated.

is it that little thing in the middle of the last pic? If so it's a weed. It diesn't resemble the cattleya growth in any way. Cattleyas don't keiki or send out little narrow stems like that. Sorry to be a party pooper.

I got an orchid off ebay once that had little wild orchids growing in the bark with it. Tara

It's a weed, no ifs buts or maybes.

If in doubt, pull it out.

Anton. Your funny. I'm not pulling it. I'm going to "study" it!! I swear it looks orchid like. It is a little growth coming out from a thin root (?) part way up from it's base.
There appears to be a front (leaves) and back (roots) similar to the little den keikis.
If it is a weed, then maybe we could have a name that weed contest?

I think it's a weed too. Depending on how long or where it was in the greenhouse before you gt it you never what could pop out of the mix lol. I sometimes buy plants that have little clover looking things growing the mix and random weedy stuff too, lol. I usually just pluck them out.

Plant does have a bit of Clover. I don't like clover. Its invasive and a pain in the neck.
The "weed" is showing some veining of the leaves. Which says "weed."
Oh well!
