Is it possible....

To anyone's knowledge, would it or is it possible to have orchids blooming every month in Wisconsin in a house setting non greenhouse? I have phals and they are all spiking right now,but I am assuming that they wont spike again till spring or summer or way into next winter. Tara

YES it is definately possible.
I grow in a house setting as well. Phals are my dominate genera and paphs 2nd. After that a little of quite a few things.......
I have had something blooming every day for the last year. Not always a lot, but something - actually probably at least 3-4 minimum and maybe 25-30 at peak.

Yup, it's possible and with many hobbyists who have mixed collections, it's common for them to have something in flower nearly all the time.

Hi Tara.
With only Phallies I suspect you may be able to get them to flower all year round inside.
My mate has a greenhouse were no sun gets, so it is virtually run as indoors operation.
While he has many hundreds of Phallies he always has something in flower to bring inside his house. Summer or winter.
I am only starting out growing Phallies and am finding when the finish flower after the spring lot, they are now spiking for the second time and now hopefully this lot will take me into Autumn and winter with some flowers.
Otherwise you can have a mix collection of genera witch flower in winter
Cheerio
Ron

Many paphs should work for you - similar conditions to the phals. They will not bloom as long as the phals, but some of mine make it 2-3 months.
