Unhappy Phal with big leaves and hardly any roots

Hi everyone. I'm new and in need of some help. I have a phal that has huge green healthy leaves but do to my OCD of overwatering, the roots have almost completely rotted away. My poor phal has but one root left and is clinging to dear life. I have recently soaked it in superthrive and it is currently just sitting in a bag (with holes) with some bark. I am not sure what to do except wait. I can use some advice, like how long do I keep it in the bag and how long before the phal gives off new roots (if any) or am I looking at a lost cause. Any help would be great. thanks.

Hi....I have a Phal with one root. Mine was due to underwatering before I got it. I repotted it in a Phal bark mixture and after about 3 months it began to put out a new leaf. The old leaves are firm and unwrinkled again and the new leaf is growing. I am a novice at orchid care but I have found that Phal's are pretty tough. I only recently learned of Superthrive (through this forum) and last week I gave it a real good soaking, through the slits in the pot. Your's will survive with some TLC.

Thanks for the advice :-). By the way do I water it less or more now that it only has one root?

I water about once a week for all my phals. I can tell by the weight of the pot if the potting mix has dried out. You can also use the skewer method that you read about on here. Just type skewer in the search box and it will explain this method.
