My first blooms..

These are my early christmas gifts. This oncidium is my first try for mounting. This is the first bloom it presented me. I could find its pseudobulbs quite bigger than that of those I am growing in pots.An there are more number of blooms on the spike. This is for the first time my mom appreciated me for growing orchids .I think It is getting its right conditions as far as I can provide over that mounted branch. I have used coconut husk for retaining moisture for some time. I am sure that after some time it will be having enough roots to hide the entire husk. The other picture is that of my dendrobium. It is its first bloom in my care.It have been about 1 and a half years since I bought it.I have experimented using roots of some kind of fern found over here. I think it was quiet useful.

Dendrobium.Sorry , I do not know its name..It is too hard to find every orchids named in my place. It is even harder to get to an orchid store. I used to buy them from exhibition stalls and Flower shows..

Oncedium Dancing glory.
