healthy dendrobium flower stem broke off....what do I do?

I was fertizing my dendrobium in the backyard so i put it on top of the drain. I was all done watering and when i got up the my flower stem got caught under a nearby table and it broke off. I know it sounds really silly how it happened but it really did.

It is my first orchid ever and I have had it for about a month. Its been doing well but i don't know what to do now. The tip of the stem is all jagged. What do I do? Will it grow a new stem? Please help! Thank you.

was the stem bent or broken completely off and sitting in the grass?

it broke off completely......the very short remaining stem is jagged.....should i cut it?

How close was it to the base of the spike? If it is really close to the mother plant then I would say cut it even and see if feels like putting out another spike.

Its pretty close to the base. I'll cut it and see. Thanks for your help.

If the stem broke then I don't think it would grow another. Its best to cut it completly if there were flowers then use them as a flower arrangement. Next year another one will grow back.
