Care for a Phal.lobbii ?

Hi everyone,

I have just been 'bought' a lobbi and would appreciate if any experts out there could give me a few tips...
I grow indoors & have various phal noids, a violacea (whose finally going to bloom)? mini mark, cattleyas, oncidiums and paphs but would like to know how much light and temp. the Lobbii needs so as to try and grow her in an ideal place?
Thanks alot !!
nenella
ps: It's in a plastic pot in bark.. would it be better off mounted?

Phalaenopsis lobbii Culture
It looks like they can handle a little bit more light than most phals can. I hope that helps

Grow them as a typical phal in the summer but drier and brighter in the winter. They do great mounted and I find it easier to gauge when to water during their dry period when I can see the roots.

Bonsoir Nenella,
I have a Phal. lobbii that I keep in a mini greenhouse (20cm x 30cm) with clay pellets at the bottom. I do this to get higher humidity.
I've only had for about 2 months and it hasn't bloomed yet, but it's growing nicely.

I have much better success with Phal species mounted but I do have a few still potted in spraghum moss. Mounting gives a 'closer to nature' environment and their smaller flowers look so pretty with wood as a backdrop.
