Massdevallia spike???

OK, my Masdie has been growing a few leaves but I noticed a new growth that I think is a spike since it seems to be coming in next to a leaf and not from the bottom. When I move the leaf, the new growth moves with it almost as if it's attached. What do you think? A spike?

It's a Masdevallia Mishanthral and is a good size plant. Probably can be divided but I think I'll let it just keep growing. I can't wait for my first bloom too. Yay!!!
