Pics of 2 of my Paphs spikes!

They're just beginning, but I'm so excited! The first 3 pics are of a seedling that I got from Krull- Smith several months ago. I loved the name...The spike is the dark point poking out from the center. Pic. 3 shows some new growth also!
Paph. Yabba Dabba Doo x Paph. Hsinying Web

pics 4 & 5 are my first re-bloom! I posted pics of this last winter. I was shocked to see the start of a spike on it. The blooms(there were 2) lasted for WEEKS! You can see new growth on the side of the plant, and the bud in the center.
Paph. Hsinying Citron x Paph. Dr. Calsow 'Ching Hua'

Picture 6 shows the difference in the 2 Paph. leaf colors...

Great pictures. New spikes and new growths sounds great to me. Can't wait to see them bloom.

Congrats... Good growing girl!! I'll be looking forward to seeing the blooms!

Yabba Dabba Doo?! Where do "they" come up with some of these names?...that one's great!

BTW -- I seriously doubt you'd find anyone in this bunch getting tired of hearing 'bout the babes!

Thanks, Katrina! Yabba Dabba Doo, was what Fred Flintstone used to say! (an old cartoon for those who aren't familiar with the Flintstones!) I used to have a Pebbles doll! I LOVED watching the Flintstones when I was a kid!

I'm sorry...I should've phrased that differently. I do remember Fred...yep...I'm old enough...I watched it too. My personal fav....Dino! Always been an animal lover...probably why I have 6 in my house now. LOL!

What I meant is the way the minds work in naming orchids...some of the names just crack me up.

Kortney, You really should try a Paph., or two, or twenty... They stay in bloom for months at a time for some of them. Once you own one......
