| Pics of my 2 new chids! I have just received a baby Phrag that I ordered from H.P. Norton. It's a cross between Phrag. kovachii x Phrag longifolium.... It should be a very interesting bloom! I have a few years to wait I'm afraid, but I couldn't say no to this one. It's in the "chickie" pot. (reserved for VERY special plants' baby pictures! ) The next photos are of Phal. Sogo Charm. I found this little darling at a local nursery that usually only has "junk". I fell in love with it. the spikes have branches starting. The petals are about the size of my thumb-nails!

| Patti Where do you find those cute pots!! I love, love the chickie pot. Oh, your Phrag will be beautiful when it gets there, I would love one with that cross. I really like your Phal the color is so bright! It is full size or will it get bigger. Love your finds! ![]()

| Thanks! You folks are the best. It's 50 times more fun when I can share with others that understand! I told my husband that I bought the Phal for him! I told him that there was a picture of it in the August '08 Orchids magazine! (which I discovered tonight that there was) He didn't buy that I had gotten it for him, ... but laughed and asked if I would take care of it for him! The picture of the plant in Orchids mag., has TONS of blossoms on it. Mine still has a lot of buds and branches coming on it even though it's much smaller than the Magazine plant.

| The phrag will definitely be a nice one...love phrags!! And that phal is beautiful! Soooooo many little flowers -- gorgeous! Thanks for the idea of "I bought it for you honey"...I'll have to use that one in the future. |

| Patti, Love the chickie pot--I can see why it is reserved for "special" visitors. And that Phal is beautiful--sprays of flowers (even the miniatures) are so awesomeTomorrow I am supposed to be getting a package in the mail (from Parkside), so I will use your "line" to explain things to DH and hope it works--at the very least I hope for the same response as your husband gave you

| I had told my husband the gift thing over the phone. When he got home, he really liked it a lot! It's sitting on the dining room table where he can look at it while he eats his breakfast in the morning! He's usually the "that's nice..." and go do something else type when it comes to the chids. He's really taken a shine to this one! I haven't told him that it cost about a fifth of the one in the chickie pot!

| That and my kovachii that I got from Piping Rock are my 2 most expensive plants. I REALLY love the kovachii bloom however, and it's so new to the civilized growing world!! I get goose bumps just thinking of the blooms. I can't wait for blooming day. My other Phrag kovachii is Phrag. Suzanne Decker (kovachii 'Laura' x Cape Sunset) Glen Decker of Piping Rock named it for his wife.
