I have 2 Paphs in spike!

I have 2 Paphs in spike!! I'll try to post pictures this weekend. I'm so happy! Both I thought were new growths as my other Paphs are all having a growth spurt!- Tonight I was looking more closely at everyone, and got really excited when I realized that 2 plants had buds instead of leaves in there!

The first one is my first re-bloom! It's a Paph that I bought in spike last year. It's Paph. Hsinying Citron x Paph. Dr. Calsow 'Ching Hua' I won best intermediate with it's photo back in Feb.(I think) I'm so happy it's blooming again! The blooms lasted forever! (There were 2)

The second is a plant I bought several months ago from Krull- Smith. Simply because I liked the name! It's Paph. Yabba Dabba Doo x Paph. Hsinying Web
I can't wait to see the bloom on this one.

I just noticed that they both have the name Hsinying in them! Cool... I never picked up on that before! The first is green and white- It's nice. The second should have some purple in it, as the underside of the leaves are purple at the base. The bud looks to be dark also. I'm pretty sure I looked up Yabba Dabba Doo at the time and it was in the burgundy shading.

I have been a little under the weather of late so I'm not going to do the pictures tonight, but wanted to share my news....

Both are Maudiae-types. Paph. Hsinying Web is a popular vini-color Maudiae-type. You've got more paphs in spike now than I do (and I have about 400!!!!). I can't wait to see them!!

Lol, Kevin! You're on the other side of the "big ball" Mine have just not done much until recently. Then... Bam! BTW- my sanderianum is really looking good. It's going to be at least another year before bloom... probably 2, but it really is liking where he's at right now! Thanks for your input... I'll post pics of the buds this weekend.

Oh, I bought a seedling that's on it's way to me as we speak... Phrag. kovachii x Phrag. longifolium (sp?) I know it will be a few years on this one, but I think it could be VERY cool..

Congrats. Patti. I only have one left to bloom. I can't wait to see yours. Although they do take their time to open. So we will have to wait. Darn!

Thanks, Jenny and Solay! They may take a long time to open, but the nice thing about them is that they STAY open for soooo long. My Neo's are fading already.
