Den. phalaenopsis

This little guy was in my shipment of seedlings. I am not sure if I should repot him like my Den. superbum (letting it be pendulous). Or should I repot it like other Dens. I've seen one that looks like it was never attached to anything, its roots were long and just there.
Any information would be appreciated.
thanks

Well it kinda depends on your preference. Got a pic of the little thing? I grow mine potted in Schultz orchid mix, and hang them in my tree outside in the summer.

The correct name for your Dendrobium phalaenopsis is Dendrobium bigibbum.
The correct name for your Den superbum is Dendrobium anosum.

In terms of their growth habit they are quite different. Den bigibbum grows upright more like a kingianum or one of the antelope-types. Upright pot culture for the bigibbum should work well.

Kmarch,
Thanks for the info.
I do have those names in my book.
Glad that you know the difference.
