| How long are you going to be gone for? Last year I was leaving for 2 weeks during the hottest part of summer (probably about 105 degrees on an average day- probably 90+ degrees in the house). I have most of my plants on humidity trays. I watered my plants and then put the trays in very large clear plastic garbage bags. Several of my orchids were happier AFTER my trip than they were before I left! |

| I was going to go to Alaska this summer for 2 weeks and have my mom take care of my plants for me, but I thought it would be good to give her a hand and keep the plants moist for a bit longer than usual. A lot of them need to be watered every day and it takes me a good 20 min to water everything. I don't think I will make it to AK this summer though because I don't have a lot of time left before school starts again. I think I will take a botany class this year.. Anyway, I just thought it would be nice to bring the subject up in case anyone else is having the same issues.
